Primary School and Early Learning Center Celebrate UN Day
This year AIS celebrated the 20th Anniversary of the UN Day at school. This proud moment, which involves students from the Early Learning Center and Primary School, has been a great opportunity to display the diversity of the community.
Taking place on a fabulous sunny morning, the session started with a flag parade on the track around the soccer field, with students and teachers dressed to represent their many different nationalities and cultures.
The event continued in the gym, where students sang songs in French, German, Spanish and English. Grade 5 presented the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals and their personal perspective on how they can support these goals in their lives.
Once again, UN Day was a unique occasion to celebrate the diversity of the AIS community. A special thanks to the music department for preparing the students with their songs and music and to the faculty that helped in the organization of the event.
