Last Sunday on October 22, Worldfest, one of the most renowned events at AIS, took place and it was a chance for families to share their culture and heritage with the school community.
The main attraction of Worldfest was the food tasting. Parents volunteered to organize the food by preparing most of the dishes and managed the booths. This year, attendees were able to sample food from over 30 countries, such as Germany, Brazil, Vietnam, and Costa Rica. Crepes, sausages, falafels, and dumplings were just a few of the exciting items to sample.
In addition to the food tasting, there were many activities for guests to enjoy such as a scavenger hunt, bounce house, and other festivals like activities. There were also exciting performances including an Italian martial arts demo, a traditional Brazilian dance, songs sung by the AIS Primary School Chorus, and flamenco dancing.
