Before you can complete and submit an application, you will first need to visit here to set up your user account at Veracross.
After creating your account, you will receive a confirmation email from Veracross (from email@example.com) that includes your username and password. (Hold on to this information, as you’ll need it in Step 2!)
If you don’t see this confirmation email in your inbox shortly, check your SPAM folder and, if it’s not there after 24 hours, please email Daniella Chandler at firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance.
With your user name and password on hand, please visit our online admission portal and complete the application (required to be considered for admission).
Make sure to have a photo of the applicant ready to upload within the application as well as your credit card information available to pay the $100 nonrefundable application fee required for processing your application.
The application deadline for regular admission for the 2018-2019 school year is January 15, 2018. (For out-of-state or international applicants that miss this deadline, please contact the admissions office directly to inquire about rolling admission.)
You can visit the admission portal at any time to check on the progress of your admissions application. (You’ll need to enter your user name and password to access the portal.)
After you submit your application and payment, a member of the admissions office will contact you to confirm receipt of your application.
Once you submit your application and make your payment, you’re welcome to schedule a shadow visit, a wonderful opportunity for your child to experience the magic at AIS! On this day, your child is assigned a buddy, whom your child will “shadow”/accompany for the full school day.
Note, a shadow visit is optional and not required as part of the admissions process.
March 30, 2018: Admission decision letters are mailed to all applicants. (This date is set by AAAIS.)
March 31, 2018: Electronic admission decision notifications are available in the Admission Portal. (This date is set by AAAIS. Please visit the AAAIS website to read more about notification dates and other AAAIS principles.)
AIS does not offer boarding facilities. I-20 forms are only issued to applicants who have been accepted and have already completed the enrollment process. The future student then presents the I-20 form to their consulate in order to obtain student status. In the event that the consulate does not grant a student visa, only enrollment fees will be refunded.
All students under a student visa must live with a relative or guardian. Guardian interviews are mandatory and a student cannot be accepted until the legal guardian has been approved by the school.
