Apply to the Early Learning Center


Thank you for your interest in The Early Learning Center (ELC), a full immersion preschool program for children ages 3-4. To learn more about applying to the ELC, please click below.

(The process for applying to the ELC is the same for local and international applicants.)

Steps to Apply

  • Step 1: Create Your Veracross User Account

    Before you can complete and submit an application, you will first need to visit here to set up your user account at Veracross.
     
    After creating your account, you will receive a confirmation email from Veracross (from system@mail.veracross.com) that includes your user name and password. (Hold on to this information, as you’ll need it in Step 2!)
     
    If you don’t see this confirmation email in your inbox shortly, check your SPAM folder and, if it’s not there after 24 hours, please email Olga Nobleton at onobleton@aischool.org for assistance.
     
    (You may add system@mail.veracross.com to your email contacts list to make sure you receive the email.)
  • Step 2: Submit Online Application and Payment

    With your user name and password on hand, please visit our online admission portal and complete the application (required to be considered for admission).
     
    Make sure to have a photo of the applicant ready to upload within the application as well as your credit card information available to pay the $100 nonrefundable application fee required for processing your application.
     
    The application deadline for regular admission for the 2018-2019 school year is January 15, 2018. (For out-of-state or international applicants that miss this deadline, please contact the admissions office directly to inquire about rolling admission.)
     
    You can visit the admission portal at any time to check on the progress of your admissions application. (You’ll need to enter your user name and password to access the portal.)  
     
    After you submit your application and payment, a member of the admissions office will contact you to confirm receipt of your application.
  • Step 3: Submit Supporting Documents

    You will need to print out the following documents (provided via the links below) and submit them to your current school.


    Forms may be submitted to AIS via traditional mail or e-mail. The Records Release and Teacher Evaluation Form must be submitted directly to AIS from the current school.
  • Step 4: Screening

    February 16, 2018: ELC Admission Screening Day
     
    Important to note: Please make sure to put this date on your calendar in advance, as we only have one screening date available for The Early Learning Center.
  • Step 5: Notification of Admission Decision

    March 30, 2018Admission decision letters are mailed to all applicants. (This date is set by AAAIS.)
     
    March 31, 2018: Electronic admission decision notifications are available in the Admissions Portal. (This date is set by AAAIS. Please visit the AAAIS website to read more about notification dates and other AAAIS principles.)
     
  • Step 6: Applicant Response

    April 13, 2018: Deadline for applicants to respond to acceptance letters. (This date is set by AAAIS.)

  • Age Requirements

    3K: The cutoff for admission is August 31 (by which all applicants have to turn three years of age. If your child does not meet this requirement, please apply for the following school year.)
     
    4K: The cutoff for admission is September 1 (by which all applicants have to turn four years of age. If your child does not meet this requirement, please apply for the following school year.)
