MEET THE 2021 VALEDICTORIAN AND SALUTATORIAN
Each year, certificates are awarded to the two members of the graduating class that have the highest GPAs over the last 4 years of high school. The person with the highest GPA is the Valedictorian, and the 2nd highest is the Salutatorian. Congratulations to all our talented Class of 2021.
Daniel Öman - Valedictorian
Daniel Öman, the valedictorian of the Class of 2021, is an Atlanta International School “lifer” having
arrived in 5K. Described as humble, hardworking, kind and ethical, Daniel has an understated confidence. A stellar academic record is a testament to his raw intellect combined with fantastic organization skills and diligence. A quick learner, Daniel gets immediately invested in his work whether it be individual or in a group. Our valedictorian’s teachers have relied on him in any situation to be calm, compassionate and honest.
An intellectually curious student, Daniel enjoys learning in general but has always been drawn to STEM courses and to technological innovation for the greater good. A true scholar and athlete, Daniel leaves a lasting legacy at AIS as he departs us for Georgia Tech this fall.Dhiren Rajagopal – Salutatorian
Teachers of this year’s salutatorian note impressive, natural academic abilities paired with a tremendous work ethic, as well as a kind, thoughtful, and positive attitude. The idea of helping people sincerely appeals to Dhiren. While gravitating towards math and science, he excels in just about every subject, showing enthusiasm and a tireless work ethic within each of his IB Diploma Program classes. Our salutatorian will make a lasting and significantly positive impact on Georgia Tech’s campus next fall, and we will miss him greatly.
