AIS Summer Camps in Sandy Springs
Atlanta International School (AIS) is thrilled to offer new summer camps filled with fun, friendships and opportunities to learn about the world, at our new Sandy Springs campus, located on the banks of the Chattahoochee River.
Campers can participate in a huge variety of camps, including STEAM, Mars Expedition, Sewing and Crochet, Capoeira, Dungeons and Dragons and Chess! Please see the descriptions and schedule below.

3D Printing: Grades 4 - 6
empowered by 3Doodler, makes learning limitless as students make concepts come alive from 2D to 3D! Using 3Doodler’s 3D printing pens, students break down complex topics into hands-on, approachable concepts, bringing science, technology, engineering, math, and design concepts to life. 3Doodler bridges differences in learning styles and engages students in a way that promotes teamwork, creative thinking, self-expression, and focus. After only using 3Doodler’s 3D printing pens for a short time, students will become engineers, designers, and scientists in their own classrooms, camps, or learning groups. With hundreds of free stencils and lesson plans available on the3doodler.com/edu, students will engage in experiential learning in all subject areas for hours.

Capoeira: Grades 3 - 6
An all-encompassing Capoeira Martial art and fitness program (Capoeira combines fitness, music, self-defense, acrobatics, language, dance, culture, history, community activities, performance, and powerful life skills). Plus, it's Lots of Fun! From sports to dance, making slime, and everything in between, our innovative approach to learning is fun and your child is sure to have a blast while learning these important life skills that will lead them to live even happier lives. Capoeira camp is full of fun, friends, and learning! Campers spend the day learning Capoeira and maculelê movements; play different Capoeira instruments and rhythms; sing songs in Portuguese; and play Capoeira-based games that accentuate team building, leadership, and cooperation. Campers will experience other activities throughout the week, such as: performance skills, writing, reading, artwork, and more. Campers not only learn acrobatic and self-defense movements but also use them to improvise and create in collaboration with other students! Finally, campers work throughout the week in preparation for their end of session performance presented on the final day of camp!

Chess: Advanced Camp: Grades 3 - 8
At our Advanced Chess Camp, every day is a celebration of a new chess tactic, accompanied by laughter, silly videos, and music-driven puzzlers. Brace yourselves for colorful silicone Tactixbands, funny movies, and engaging chess clock tournaments that add an extra layer of excitement to the camp. Our camp maintains the same fun and friendly spirit that makes Chess Camp a summer highlight for kids across Atlanta. Expect each week to bring new challenges and opportunities to learn something exciting – be it through puzzles, lessons, or game analysis. Dungeons and Dragons: Grades 6 - 9
Throughout the week, our adventurers will play Dungeons and Dragons, and start Dungeon Campaigns. They’ll also design their own dungeons from cardboard and sculpt creatures using our famous modeling clay called “Masita.” Their creations will then adventure in our dungeon quests, and will solve riddles, math problems, brain teasers, dodge various monsters and find treasure.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

All cancellations received in writing before May 1, 2024, will be refunded in full minus the $100 non-refundable deposit. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations made after May 1, 2024.

All camp fees include a $100 per camp non-refundable registration fee.

Camp transfers/changes incur a $25 administrative fee.

Camp registrations are non-transferable.

Refunds will not be issued for campers arriving late, leaving early, dismissed from camp, or unable to attend all or part of a session.
