Horizons at AIS
Inspiring, building, transforming.
The mission of Horizons Atlanta at Atlanta International School is to provide a dynamic academic, cultural, and recreational program, designed to encourage a diverse group of students from underserved communities to realize their full potential.
Horizons Atlanta at AIS is dedicated to closing the opportunity gap by providing academic support, and social and emotional learning. Horizons at AIS partners with four local schools, Garden Hills Elementary, Sarah Smith Elementary, Sutton Middle School, and North Atlanta High School.
Through our partnership with AIS, Horizons Atlanta, and APS, along with dedicated and generous volunteers from the community, the program provides wrap-around services for our students and families all year- including our signature six-week summer program.
Impact
Horizons at AIS transforms the way students see themselves and their world. The program fosters and celebrates the student diversity through a blend of academic; social and emotional learning; cultural and enrichment activities; and physical fitness and health. The goal is to build problem-solving skills, foster community responsibility and encourage a life-long interest in learning.
