A Joyful Start to Learning Early Learning Center (3K & 4K) In the Early Learning Center, children begin their journey in a nurturing, play-based environment designed to spark curiosity and build confidence. Through the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program they experience guided exploration, meaningful interactions, and hands-on learning. Students develop the foundations for lifelong learning—growing socially, emotionally, and through numeracy and literacy—from the very start.
Core Principles
At AIS, our youngest learners begin their journey in an environment designed for curiosity, confidence, and connection. Through play-based, inquiry-driven learning, children build foundational skills and a love of discovery, guided by core principles.

Curiosity,
Language & Play
Children learn best when they are actively engaged. Through play, exploration, and meaningful interactions, students develop curiosity, build language skills, and begin to make sense of the world.

Learning
in the ELC
Learning is hands-on, social, and guided by inquiry. Students ask questions, explore ideas, and make connections through experiences that build confidence, independence, and a strong sense of belonging.

A Foundation
for Growth
Early experiences lay the groundwork for future success. Students develop the skills, attitudes, and confidence needed to thrive as they continue their learning journey at AIS and beyond.

The ELC offers a full immersion preschool program for children ages 3-4. All students are learning one of our four languages: Chinese, French, German, and Spanish.
• Daily Language Exposure

Parent Partnership
We believe that strong partnerships between school and home create the best environment for young learners to thrive. At AIS, parents are active participants in their child’s journey, with open communication, shared experiences, and meaningful opportunities to engage in the life of the classroom.
