Strategic Plan 2001-2005
AIS will create an optimal and safe place for learning and teaching, and students, faculty and staff will have the necessary tools and resources required to serve the mission, values and objectives of the school. AIS’s infrastructure will support the academic program as well as athletics, the arts and other co-curricular programs.
Goals
- AIS will develop and implement a master plan for buildings and grounds that will address key program areas including athletics, the library, the performing and visual arts, the experimental sciences, information technology, and the unique needs of students in grades 4K-2.
- The immediate physical infrastructure and equipment needs to support the physical education and sports programs will receive appropriate attention.
- AIS will regularly conduct a facilities and major systems audit to guide preparation of the AIS maintenance plan and budget.
- AIS will audit existing methods of tracking data critical to planning and operations functions, and will improve these methods as appropriate.
- AIS will own its own campus or obtain a long-term lease for 40+ years by 30 December 2001.
