When Atlanta International needs a basket Robert Doster usually steps up.

This season the senior co-captain is averaging 21 points per game and has scored in double figures in all but one contest this season.

"He has shown tremendous senior leadership for us," said Atlanta International head coach Clifford Waddy. "He does the little things that seniors do. I am proud of his effort not only in athletics but also in academics."

Two of Doster's biggest games to date came in losses against St. Francis, one of the top teams in their region. In the first outing he poured in 25 points and most recently scored 24.

He also recently netted 19 points in a loss to Whitefield Academy Jan. 25 and 17 in a win over Greenforest Christian Academy Jan. 21.

Doster has consistently improved his scoring since his freshman campaign.

Doster averaged 10 points as a freshman, 14 as a sophomore, 18 as a junior and most recently 21.

After going 0-21 his freshman year, Doster said it is good to be finally playing kids their own age.

"This is huge for all of us," he said of their 12-6 overall record. "As freshman we were thrown into the lion's den and we were always younger. Now things are going very well."
