Newcomer Committee Directory Welcome Contacts

The Mission of the PO Ambassador Committee is to create a warm and informed environment for new and prospective families.

One way in which we do this is to provide a Directory of Welcome Contacts: a printed list of families who wish to be included, their contact information, and something about them such as languages spoken, interests or hobbies, ages of children, etc... Any current AIS family who wishes to may be included, as long as they would like to be available should a new parent decide to contact them to request assistance, camaraderie, or hear a welcome voice in their native language.

This Directory will be sent to all of our new families. It can be used as another source for any parent, new to AIS, who is looking for assistance in navigating the challenges of moving to a new school, or a new city, or a new country. If you think back to your own experience as a new family, you may be able to understand the value of such a Directory.
