Jazz in Black & White
This evening event will feature live Jazz music from nationally acclaimed Jazz group "Five Men On A Stool", Jazz history, mouth-watering food associated with this glorious art form and lots of dancing. We will provide something for the novice and dies hard aficionado. Jazz in Black & White will celebrate the pioneers (Armstrong, Fitzgerald, Morton), the visionaries (Davis, Brubeck, Coltrane) and contemporary figures (Benson, Jarreau, Washington, Jr. whose contributions and influences extend well beyond the musical spectrum.
Jazz in Black & White will inform and celebrate how diversity (in this case, of the musical nature) strengthens our community….just as Jazz continues to bring together people of all ages, races, ethnicities. Come celebrate with us!
