* In order to participate in any AIS sport, each student must have a physical on file with the athletic department prior to tryouts.
In the Spotlight...

Lindsey Sanborn finished 3rd in the 1600 and 2nd in the 3200 meter race at the Track and Field State Championships. She also finished 2nd in the State Cross Country meet this past fall. Congratulations on a great year! | 
Madison Scott was selected to to the All Region team again this year. She will be playing basketball at Jacksonville University on an Athletic Scholarship next year. | 
Alexander Thomas came in 2nd in the 800 meter race at the region 5 track tournament and qualified for the State meet. |

The Varsity Girls Volleyball team qualified for the State Tournament for the second year in a row. | 
The MS Boys Soccer team finished 2nd in the Metro Atlanta Athletic Conference. They finished 8-2-1. | 
The Boys Varsity Soccer team finished the season 11-3, qualifying for the State Tournament. |

For the first time in school history (since joining GHSA in '98) the Boys Tennis team advanced to the State Tournament. | 
The MS Track team had a successful finish to the season. The boys finished 1st and the girls finished 4th at the Metro Atlanta Athletic Conference finals. What a great season! | .jpg)
Nadine Marfurt qualified and swam in the State Swim meet. She recorded a time of 26.12 in the 50 free. |

*Any student who plans to participate in any sport during the calendar year must have a physical on file with the athletic department. All forms needed can be found in the "Resource" tab.*
Atlanta International School offer a wide variety of sports for boys and girls during each season of the school year and our coaches are committed to promoting sportsmanship and responsibility at all levels of play both on and off the field.
Primary School (Grades 1-5) Athletic Program
Children will have the chance to participate in sports including but not limited to soccer, basketball and track & field. The emphasis will be on fun and participation. The purpose of these activities will be to establish an interest in physical fitness and health for years to come.
Middle School Athletic Program
A-Teams are our elite-level MS teams. Tryouts for the A-team will be held for all sports. All players not making the team are encouraged to join the community games.
Community Teams: Students not making the A-Team team may participate in the community program. We accommodate as many MS students in this program as possible. This team will constantly work on the development of the basic skills and understanding intricate concepts of the game.
Upper School Athletic Program
Varsity Teams are our elite-level US teams. Tryouts for the varsity teams will be held for all sports. All players not making the varsity team are encouraged to join the JV team.
Junior Varsity Teams: Students not making the varsity team may participate in the JV program. We accommodate as many US students in this program as possible. This team will constantly work on the development of the basic skills and understanding intricate concepts of the game.
