Dining Services

The Dining Services of Atlanta International School has worked hard to design a meal program guaranteed to meet our students' needs. We want AIS to have the best dining service there is, and with your help we can do it!

Greater Focus on Nutrition, International Cuisine & Sustainability

AIS Dining Services has made great strides over the past year by offering more nutritious, international and sustainable foods, including:

  • Upgrading snack options to include natural, organic and high-fiber products including: Stoneyfield Organic Yogurt, Late July Certified USDA Organic Cookies, Kozy Shack Puddings, Kashi All Natural Soft Baked Fruit Snacks Bars as well as a variety of baked chips and reduced fat snacks
  • Purchasing low fat milk from Mayfield Dairy whose milk is free of artificial growth hormones (rBST) and local (located in Marietta, GA)
  • Internationalizing the lunch menu to include cuisine from across the globe (India, Ethiopia, China, Cuba, Spain, Greece, Italy, Germany and much more)
  • Offering both hot and cold vegetarian lunch options daily
  • Implementing seasonal menus to take advantage of locally grown produce
  • Using biodegradable utensils & plates in the SAC Welcome Cafe and have switched to reusable utensils in the main cafeteria
  • Switching from individually wrapped to bulk condiments which saves money and is better for the environment
  • Installing napkin dispensers that extend only one napkin at a time, eliminating waste as well as using recyclable napkins? Dispensers also carry messages about sustainability and being good stewards of the environment
  • Only purchasing Fair Trade certified coffee from certified vendors

In addition, we are now offering declining balances for all students in Grades 3 and up! This will allow more flexibility with dining options especially for those families who don't want to commit to the meal plan. To find out more information, menus and pricing, log onto the AIS Parent Portal and click on the Dining Services page. Bon Appetite!
