Health & Safety

Everyone in our AIS community is responsible for the Health and Safety of our students. Students participate in monthly drills (scheduled and random). Employees are First Aid/CPR/AED trained and all are required to attend the child sexual abuse prevention program, Darkness to Light.  The school also has a Health and Safety Committee made up of key individuals whose sole purpose is to establish, maintain, and review the procedures for campus-wide health, safety, and security. We also have a Crisis Management Team (CMT) who are the first line responders to any emergency situation facing the school community. This group's task is to answer the questions: Was the situation handled to the best of our ability? What steps are needed now to bring the event to a close? New this year is the establishment of the Health and Safety Subcommittee of the Board of Trustees. Their role is to liaise between the school and the parents through procedure review, educating, and advocating on behalf of the school community.
