Why Choose AIS

• At Atlanta International School, students don't just study the world. They are learning to thrive in it. But more than that, they're achieving a global perspective that values differences and diversity. They're engaged in a challenging academic program that includes acquiring a second language in an open-minded and intercultural environment.

• From every perspective, a world of difference.

• A number of independent schools provide a rigorous education to prepare students for higher learning. At Atlanta International School (AIS# we don't just prepare students for college. We give them the intellectual and cultural confidence to succeed in a globally connected world.

•  As an international school, AIS offers three International Baccalaureate #IB) programmes and shares the IB mission "to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect."

• An IB World School since 1992, AIS is currently one of only a few schools in the U.S.to offer integrated International Baccalaureate programmes, 4K through grade 12. And it is one of even fewer schools in the world to offer three dual language tracks (English plus French, Spanish or German).

• AIS is fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). It is also recognized by several educational authorities in Europe. Cited by local civic and business leaders, AIS continues to enhance Atlanta's status as an international city.

• With 100% of our eleventh and twelfth graders enrolled in the IB Diploma Programme, AIS is one of only a few schools that can claim full participation. In addition to paving the way for entrance to the finest universities worldwide, the DP prepares students to excel in higher education and beyond.

• Fully qualified and experienced in their respective fields, AIS faculty members come to us from six continents, bringing best practices in international education to our campus. All are IB-trained, most are multilingual with advanced degrees, and many have taught at leading schools around the world. In addition, a majority of our faculty are native speakers of the languages they teach; this enriches the learning experience by enabling our students to make cultural connections as well.

• Now more than ever, education must prepare students to succeed in a globally connected and interdependent world. At AIS, we provide students with the necessary tools - the knowledge, skills and perspective they'll need to learn, grow and thrive.
