AIS to Host Darkness to Light Seminar on Child Abuse Prevention
Atlanta International School will host a seminar from the organization Darkness to Light entitled "Stewards of Children" on Thursday, December 7 from 8:30 to 11 a.m.
Darkness to Light is a national non-profit organization based in Charleston, South Carolina, that creates awareness and education campaigns with a primary focus on the prevention of child sexual abuse. Darkness to Light emphasizes shifting responsibility from children to adults and is in the process of developing evidence-based strategies for the prevention of sexual abuse and related outcomes.
The seminars will provide the seven steps and core concepts of prevention and straightforward actions that adults can take to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.
