Danish Ambassador Visits
Ambassador Petersen
In late October, Danish Ambassador Friis Arne Petersen took time out from participating in the Danish-American Business Summit to visit AIS. Ambassador Petersen came to Atlanta to meet with Danish companies and business leaders, as well as local key political, community, business and industry leaders, but one of his first stops was at AIS to meet with and speak to Secondary School faculty and students.
Ambassador Petersen spoke to the students about the good economic, cultural and political relationships that exist between Denmark and the United States. The students had an opportunity to ask questions and were keen to discuss recent current events in Denmark. The Ambassador's visit concluded with a small reception during which he met four students from a Danish family, Emma (Grade 6), Peter (Grade 8), Martin (Grade 9) and Kirstine (Grade 11) Andersen.
