CASIE to Bring Global Event to AIS in Spring 2008
In the spring of 2008, educators from throughout the world will come to AIS for the second Global Language Convention. The Center for the Advancement and Study of International Education is hosting the event in cooperation with the International Baccalaureate Organization as a means to give language educators an opportunity to meet and discuss best practices, research and much more. The event will be held April 17 through 20, 2008.
Attendees will have an opportunity, by observing model lessons with students from the school, to see AIS faculty in action. Convention attendees will not only see the beautiful campus, but will also be able to watch and learn from AIS's unique faculty and student body at work. Emphasis at the convention will be placed on language immersion programs within the framework of the International Baccalaureate curriculum as well as in schools that do not use the IB programs.
CASIE is excited to be able to bring this exciting event to AIS. Look for updates in future issues of the Globetrotter.
