Going Home for the Holidays? Find a Spring Benefit Auction Item
As you travel to your favorite destination during Winter Break, consider bringing back something of value that is native to the country or region you are visiting to donate as an auction item for the 2007 Spring Benefit: Passport to India. Wine, culinary items, artisan crafts and items for the home make ideal auction donations or gifts for the parent basket for your grade.
The success of the Spring Benefit auction—renowned for its travel and cultural items—depends on the generosity of our families. Another way to contribute is by making your private vacation home available for a week-long stay. Or you may ask your hotel, restaurant or other frequently visited spot to make a donation on your behalf.
As an added incentive for parents to give, the fair market value of auction items donated are calculated as part of your total giving to the 2006-07 Circle of Friends Annual Giving Campaign after the item sells at the auction. To donate an auction item, download the PDF version of the Auction Donor Form.
Auction items will be for sale at the 2007 Spring Benefit: Passport to India on Saturday, April 28, 6 p.m., at AIS. Tickets are $150 each and will go on sale in March. You can also receive tickets by making a pledge or gift to The 1984 Club, the leadership level of giving of the Circle of Friends Annual Fund, by January 31. In addition, you can support the Benefit by volunteering or through corporate sponsorship.
