WorldFest: Together We Made a Difference
Many thanks to the WorldFest committee members, the 250+ volunteers (WOW!), and to all of our guests for helping to make WorldFest 2005 the best ever. It started with the generosity of Russell Corporation’s Jerzees donation of t-shirts designed by 5th grader Alexandra Zdonczyk. And it ended with the sounds of the Hal Fairbanks band playing to a large and happy crowd! (See WorldFest photos online.)
People came, stayed, ate and sang! It was a perfect mix of international food, arts and crafts, carnival games and more. The appearance of the police helicopter was a great surprise for some and a hit with all -– a big thanks to the Atlanta Police Department! The assortment of vendors under the "Big Top" and the creative ideas of the CAS groups helped to give WorldFest a new look.
