St. Martin's Celebration Lights Up the Night
On November 11, the German section of the Primary School celebrated St. Martin’s Day, an annual celebration of light that focuses on sharing and thinking of the less fortunate. In class, students created brightly colored lanterns which glowed beautifully in the dark as they paraded around the school fields. Leading the celebration was St. Martin on a horse, an authentic addition to that celebration. Afterwards, the Grade 5 German class presented the legend of St. Martin in the LPAC, and the audience was very impressed by their performance. Later, the GPA and the parents of Grade 3 German offered Gluehwein, Hexenpunsch and Bratwuerstchen. A special thank you to the Bostrom family for their donation and to Sabine Jackson and her horse “Snapper” for leading our parade.
