Annual Golf Tournament a Huge Success
The first place team
Many thanks are owed to AIS parents Bill Hirsch and Horst Bente for all of their hard work and success on this year’s Comcast/AIS Global Challenge Golf Tournament. Over 100 participants came out to The Golf Club of Georgia and enjoyed a gorgeous day for a good cause. No one walked away with the Hole-In-One car, but all had a great time trying. We want to recognize our very first title sponsor Comcast and also the AIS Sports Boosters who sold out all our remaining playing spots for the first time in the history of the event!
AIS, athletics and the Sports Boosters have always been close to the Hirsch family heart. Bill and his wife Tricia are the founders of the Golf Tournament and long time supporters of the school. They have had two children graduate from AIS (Alexandra ’03 and Jeremy ’01) and have a son Derek, in Grade 5 French.
Because of the financial success of the Golf Tournament, over $32,000 net was raised to support sports and athletics, as well as other needs of the school.
We extend congratulations to the winners of the Golf Tournament and say a big thank you to our sponsors and players for joining us on such a great day and contributing to the success of a wonderful event. We hope you’ll join us on the links next year!
