Announcing New Winter Camp
As an extension of the enrichment opportunities already offered at AIS, we are delighted to announce that we are holding a three-day language immersion camp this winter, from December 20 – 22. This is partly in response to a request from many of the 227 campers who were with us this summer.
The format of the winter camp will be similar to that of the summer in that it will be total language immersion with learning taking place from a multiple intelligence perspective. Thus students can learn in Chinese, English, French, German or Spanish by doing a variety of activities. These include art, sport, dance, puppetry, cooking, science, math, debate, journal writing, poetry and many more.
Camp hours will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with an opportunity for an extended day from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Ages from 4 – 18 are welcome. If there is sufficient interest, advanced students will have the opportunity to do a more formal and intensive language study. The regular cost for three days is $230 which includes lunch and a snack. Campers wanting to do only one or two days will be charged $85 per day which also includes lunch and a snack.
