Christmas Market
Christmas Market
Saturday November 20
3 to 8 p.m.
AIS Plaut Plaza
(Please note the changed date from December 4)
For weeks, the Christmas Market has been on the minds of members of the German Parent Association (GPA), who have been working diligently on its preparation. This year’s Chairs are the German Deputy Consul General Dr. Zimmer and GPA parents Petra Lauber, Michaela Collenberg, and Kathy Branch. The GPA would like to thank all volunteers that support this event of the German program.
It will be just about the only place in the city where you can buy an “Adventskranz.” There will also be handmade Christmas tree decorations and home baked goods available for sale. At the numerous food stands you will be able to taste a variety of specialty foods, including Bratwurst, Swiss Raclette, waffles, etc., as well as our famous Glühwein. The GPA proceeds will be used in the German program.
Along with the GPA there will be other organizations joining in, such as the German Saturday School, the Swiss American Association, the Goethe Institute, the German Church, the German Consulate, and many others. We would like to invite all of the AIS community to enjoy with us this European event of the season.
