2005 AIS/Comcast Global Challenge a Swinging Success

Over 120 golf and tennis enthusiasts participated in the 2005 AIS/Comcast Global Challenge Golf & Tennis Tournament on September 12 at The Standard Club. Gene Eidelman, Horst Bente, Bill Hirsch and Tricia Hirsch co-chaired the event, which netted $45,000 (a 37% increase over last year) to support athletics at AIS.

Winners of the Golf Tournament were David Levinson, Derrick Stafford, John Waco and Mike Smith. Second place winners were the Georgia-Pacific Team: Tim Vanhorn, Mike Adams, Tim Sullivan and Danny Smyth. The third place team was Jeff Battaglia, Rich Mitchell, and David Mounts.

Winners of the 1st annual Tennis Tournament, coordinated by Tim Noonan of Universal Tennis Academy, were Jan Bilthouse and Wolfgang Lindheim.
