First International College Fair to be Held at AIS

AIS secondary school students will have the opportunity to meet with more than 30 college and university representatives from six different countries. Students from AIS, along with students from 19 other high schools, will attend the International College Fair on September 30. The Fair is hosted by the Center for the Advancement and Study of International Education (CASIE) and is the first of its kind in the United States. Attending students will have an opportunity to meet with colleges and universities who have demonstrated commitment to the International Baccalaureate (IB). Most of the attending colleges and universities are members of the Council of International Schools.

The fair will kick off on Friday, September 29 with a welcome reception and dinner for all attendees. Saturday events include a morning plenary session with a keynote speech by John J. Valeri, UPS’s vice president of corporate international human resources and AIS board member. Mr. Valeri will be discussing IB students and the workplace. Speakers from Carleton University, Australian National University, University of Kent and International Baccalaureate North America will speak about college requirements. In the afternoon, students and their parents will be able to visit booths of attending universities and meet representatives from the following universities:
