WorldFest 2005
AIS friends, families and community members are invited to experience the festivities of WorldFest 2005 on Sunday, October 30, from noon to 5 p.m. WorldFest is the school’s annual fall festival that transforms the campus into a cultural mecca of food, entertainment, arts and crafts and carnival games for the whole family.
Food from around the world is the highlight of WorldFest, and the culinary skills of parent volunteers are what make this unique offering such a success. Food booth leaders are needed to help coordinate food donations and volunteers for the international tables and bake sale. If you are interested in gathering your AIS friends to share food from your home country, contact Anita Leopold, chair of WorldFest, at anita_l@bellsouth.net.
WorldFest also seeks AIS and community vendors and exhibitors to participate in the International Marketplace. Vendor and exhibit tables are $15 (plus 15% of vendor gross sales) for AIS members — parents, students, faculty, staff, alumni and trustees — and $25 (plus 15% of vendor gross sales) for outside groups. The International Marketplace is an excellent opportunity to make products available and share information with over 900 WorldFest attendees. To reserve a table, contact Anita Leopold at anita_l@bellsouth.net.
