Fuel Shortage and School Closing Procedures

Dear Parents,

You may have read reports that Atlanta has only 8-10 days of fuel left. Whilst we do not believe that Atlanta will run out of gas, if this eventuality arises, normal procedures for the closure of the school will take place. For your information the procedures are that:

Weather-related or emergency school closing: If the school is to be closed because of inclement weather or other incidents, announcements will be made on the following television and radio stations:

TV: Channels 2 (WSB/ABC), 5 (WAGA/FOX 5) and 11 (WXIA/NBC)

Radio: 94.1 FM (Star 94), 640 AM (WGST), 750 AM (WSB).

As soon as possible, such announcements are also placed on the AIS website www.aischool.org and a message is placed on the AIS phone system 404-841-3840.
