Around Atlanta
The first tour of this school year will be Thursday, September 23. We’ll take a guided tour of the beautiful Atlanta Botanical Garden and see the spectacular “Chihuly in the Garden” exhibit: beautiful glass artwork by world renowned artist Dale Chihuly displayed throughout the Garden.
We’ll meet at 8:15 a.m. by the AIS main entrance, form car pools, drive to La Madeleine for coffee, and then proceed to the Garden. The tour begins at 10 a.m. at the entrance to the Garden (on Piedmont Avenue, between 14th Street and Monroe Drive), and will last about one and a half hours. After the tour, we’ll have lunch at the Garden Café. Coffee and lunch are optional; if your schedule is tight, just meet us at the Garden entrance at 9:45 for the tour.
