Symphony Orchestra is 'Best in Class'

The AIS Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Ronald L. Howard, participated in the Smoky Mountain Music Festival in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. The orchestra was judged by a panel of adjudicators comprised of Ray Cramer, Director of Bands Emeritus, Indiana University; Col. (ret.) Arnald D. Gabriel, USAF Band; and Dr. Gary Sousa, Director of Bands, University of Tennessee.

The AIS Symphony Orchestra was rated superior and received the "best in class" award. Additionally, the string section and oboist Janie Goss received citations of excellence.
