Sixth Grader "Digs" the Mayor

Earlier this year Michael Pierce, Grade 6, helped the City of Atlanta celebrate the completion of a major sewer tunnel project that is part of the Clean Water Atlanta program. This was the first major project completed in the city’s nearly $4 billion program. Michael’s role was to move “Sammy the Surfer” along a board simulating the sewage flow entering the tunnel for the first time during the celebration event.
