Flying Fingers

Two AIS students, sisters Lan-Anh (4F) and Diem-Anh (Grade 7) Vo, have distinguished themselves musically in recent weeks.

Both girls won the local county piano competition in March, after which Diem-Anh and Lan-Anh went on to compete in the Georgia Music Teachers Association’s piano competition at the State level on May 14.

Diem-Anh won Award of Excellence for the 7th grade at the State level.

Lan-Anh won Outstanding Performer for the 4th grade at the State level. In addition, she was chosen by the judge to play at the Georgia Music Teachers Association Convention in the fall of 2005—a very special honor! Even her piano teacher was totally unprepared to hear the announcement of that honor. Well done, girls!
