Theater Project in Native French

The joy of learning was evident this year when, from January to April, the two classes of Native French in 7th grade devoted four long months to the creation of a play in French, from the writing of the script and rehearsals to the making of costumes and settings. The students were divided into two groups and had the opportunity to work with their friends in the other class. Like professionals, they struggled with expressing their ideas, managing a group, getting organized and learning their lines-- all in French. They did not hesitate to rehearse after school, dedicating a huge amount of time for this project to come to life.

The outcome was two unique and outstanding plays entirely created by the students. Each group performed on April 30 in the Lademacher Performing Arts Center in front of the other group of students. The plays were filmed and each student will keep a DVD of it. Congratulations to all 7th graders for all of their hard work and success!
