The Sports Report
The boys’ and girls’ Track & Field teams finished their seasons at the State Track Meet on a high note. Good performances all around made this a successful season.
Girls’ Team: Alice Hayward was the team’s highest placer at State with a second in the high jump. Her jump of 5’ 2” was the third best jump in all classifications. Sharan Bal added a fifth place in the 400m with a good time. The 4x400m relay team of Sharan Bal, Catie Warner, Martina Mustroph and Andrea Valera finished sixth.
All the team members scored for the team and took home a medal.
Boys Team: Aymerick Kolokilagi successfully defended his State shot put title and added a second place in the discus. George Weeks came fourth in the 800m with a school record time. Enrique Sanchez also finished fourth in the 3200m. The team had two more medallists with Alfie Lopez placing eighth in the pole vault and Zeke Galotti placing eighth in the 100m.
Again as in the girls’ meet, all the team members medaled. It was a good year for Track & Field.
