AIS Celebrates Holi, the Fesitval of Colors
At the start of spring, AIS students of all ages celebrated the Hindu festival of Holi, which AIS parent, Susmita Parashar, described as follows, “The festival of Holi is a special time that signals the end of winter and the coming of spring. It is called the Festival of Colors because bright colors symbolize energy, life, and joy. Every year in spring, on the eve of Holi, a ritualistic bonfire is lit with much festivity and joy. Then on the day of Holi, we put special color powders or water on family, friends or even strangers, enjoy special food, dance and get together with family and friends…” |
