Bethania Support Makes for Successful Year

As we approach the end of the school year, the Bethania CAS Group continues striving to achieve its goals of helping the orphanage. Our concession stands for the soccer games have once again been successful with the support of many people who believe in our cause. Thanks to all the volunteers that attended, many of whom were from outside our advisory, we were able to raise enough money to support two years of college for students Bharathi and Kubendran. We thank Mr. Greenall's advisory, Ms. Ferandel, and Ms. Box for their continued efforts in aiding Bethania. Over at the orphanage itself, the solar panels have successfully been installed, and now supply much-needed energy during the day.

Aude Mulliez '04, an AIS alumna, has volunteered to spend eight weeks helping out at the orphanage in India. Aude will be our second former student to spend time at Bethania, and she will be hosted by the same family, Mr. and Mrs. Vijayasarathy, that hosted our previous alumnus, James Brindley '05. Ms. Shanta will be meeting Aude at Chennai this summer to escort her to the orphanage.

Our major fundraiser for the year has been canceled, but we are holding other smaller fundraisers to make up for it. As the year ends we hope to continue providing strong support to Bethania. The assistance we have provided thus far has only been possible through the help and donations we have received from many individuals and groups throughout the year. Thank you, your support inspires us to keep our efforts next year just as strong as this year's.
