The Sports Report

Middle School

Middle School spring sports teams have finished their seasons at the top!

The Girl’s Soccer team has won the Davis Cup soccer tournament. This makes them two-time champs. They have finished with a record of 8-1-0. Coach Cook has put together a young and exciting team.

The Baseball team grabbed third place at the Davis Classic. Coaches Waddy and Patino’s team played well in the consolation game to get the trophy.

Both Track & Field teams took the next step in the Championship meet. The Boys came in third. That is their best finish since 1996. The Girls are our new champions! This is the first track title since 1993. Coach Newman is happy for her exciting teams.

Upper School

Is this the best spring season ever for the Upper School teams? The numbers say it is!

The Girls’ Soccer team has had their first break-even season in GHSA play. The team finished 5-5-0, their best ever! The big news is they have also qualified for the State Tournament. This is also a first. Look for results in their playoff game (on April 29) soon.

The Track & Field teams seem to be peaking at the right time. The Girls have already set six school records this season and are ready for the Region Meet. Led by Cassie Huntley, Andrea Valera, and PV record holder Laura Geronimo, the team expects to score big.

Is this the best Boys team ever? Our opponents will find out soon. This team could take the Region title. All the events are strong. The team is led by State finalists Aymerick Kolokilagi, George Weeks, and Cheo Sanchez. Also look for Rodrigo Ortiz, Nik Beisert, Mathieu Van Asten, and Moe Naniuzeyi to score big.
