What Can Brown And Blue Do For You?

AIS and UPS are joining forces to bring the treasure of reading to deserving children right here in Atlanta. Thinking globally and giving locally is a commitment we share. As a result, we are asking all AIS families to search their personal libraries for donations to a very worthy cause.

Middle and Primary School students, Emily Knutson (8th), Brice Williams (7th) and Eli Levy (4th) are leading this effort with volunteer parents working diligently to provide age-appropriate books to Atlanta’s JFK Middle School. JFK, with a student body of 367 students, is in significant need of books to fill their school library shelves. Since we are a community that supports each other, we are giving everyone at AIS the opportunity to participate in this drive.

UPS is partnering with us in this initiative by providing a truck for the collection, transportation and delivery of our books, often the most challenging aspect of such an initiative. As an AIS corporate partner, UPS is engaging in efforts to provide strategic support like this to our students both in the classroom and the community. Book drive details are as follows:
