A Home Away From Home
After two months in Atlanta, saying "goodbye" is really hard for us. We are exchange students from St. Benno-Gymnasium in Dresden. We arrived on January 6 and spent two great months at Atlanta International School. Our host families and Ms. Christiane Box, our contact person and German teacher, organized many trips, made sure that we really enjoyed our time and gave us the chance to learn about Atlanta, its history and the American culture!
Many new friends helped us with the English language and with finding our way in the "new world." We would like to thank everybody who made it so easy for us to feel comfortable. We want especially to thank Ms. Box for organizing our whole stay and for always having an open ear. A big thank you to our host families who gave us the opportunity to experience the American lifestyle and who made us feel so very much at home. Special thanks to our new friends who were so open-minded and welcoming, and to our teachers who involved us in all the classes.
We had an incredible time here in Atlanta and we'll miss the open and friendly atmosphere in the school, in our homes, and in this wonderful country! We hope to see "y'all" again!
