Grade 5 Exhibition Demonstrates IBPYP Culmination

We are proud to present the Grade 5 Exhibition to our school community in the library on Wednesday, March 12, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Grade 5 Exhibition is the highlight of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IBPYP). It is structured in such a way that Grade 5 students are challenged to take responsibility for the design, organization and successful completion of an in-depth, collaborative inquiry. The purpose of the exhibition is for students to demonstrate their learning, and how they can apply it to an unfamiliar situation. It provides a good assessment of students’ learning throughout our Primary Years Programme.

The central idea of this year’s exhibition is “A city such as Atlanta faces many issues that we need to address,” and our students identified and inquired into issues that have both local and global relevance and significance. Their work will be on display in the library from March 10 to 14. On Wednesday, March 12, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., all grade 5 students will be on hand to present their special projects to the community. Please join us in celebrating their success.
