Spring Benefit Auction Items Span the Globe
Travel the world when you bid on auction items at the live and silent auction at the 2008 Spring Benefit: Passport to Italy on Saturday, April 12, at AIS. To view all the items available at this year’s auction, please visit the Spring Benefit online auction catalog. Special thanks to all those who have generously supported the event by donating to the auction. Proceeds from the Spring Benefit support financial aid, faculty development, academic programs and the general operations of the school. Tickets to the event are $200 each, and invitations to purchase tickets have been mailed to all AIS families. Reserve your seats early – the Benefit is typically a sold-out event. Support our Spring Benefit Sponsors Diamond: UPS Preview student artwork, enter Tuition Drawing raffle and shop at the Italian Market on April 8 to support the Spring Benefit: Student artwork created by students in grades 4K-8 to be sold at the Spring Benefit auction will be on display Tuesday, April 8 and Wednesday, April 9 in the AIS Auditorium. Students are invited to bring their parents to a special reception to “show-off” their artwork on Tuesday, April 8, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Also enjoy an Italian Market hosted by the Spring Benefit Décor Committee during the Student Art Preview Reception. Stop by to purchase unique items while previewing your child’s artwork or come just to shop. Spring Benefit Volunteers are needed for set up, Student Art Preview Day, and other short-term projects from now until April 12: Set up for the Spring Benefit begins Monday, April 7. Volunteers are needed to work three-hour shifts during this week from 9:00 a.m. to noon, noon to 3:00 p.m., or 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Volunteers are also needed to work during the Student Art Preview Days on April 8 and 9 to help sell Tuition Drawing tickets. Shifts are 2:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on April 8, and 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on April 9. Volunteers with a flair for creativity who can help from home are needed to make marketing displays for the Spring Benefit auction from now until April 4. Display materials are provided, but volunteers can help by calling to ask donors for digital materials from those who have not already provided it. Digital materials collected are then used to create a display board for each auction item.
