Karate Master Visits Primary School Students

This month all our Primary students from 4K up to grade 5 had the chance to participate in Karate Day. Master Joey Imperatori, a well-known karate master in Atlanta, one of his assistant teachers and Guillaume Le Balle, Upper School student, volunteered to teach their discipline to our students. Master Joey talked about the origins of karate and its philosophy. He also reinforced the importance of using Karate only during karate classes. The karate instructors demonstrated defense and offense techniques to the students and then asked them to use these techniques on foam pads. The students were very well behaved and very focused on all the instructions that they received from the instructors. They had a lot of fun learning and experimenting with different karate techniques. The PE department would like to thank Joey Imperatori and Guillaume Le Balle for their time and dedication to their discipline; the students really enjoyed it!
