PO: Around Atlanta
The date of our next Around Atlanta outing has been changed to Thursday, March 16. We will visit the Michael C. Carlos Museum at Emory University. The Carlos is the largest museum of ancient art in the Southeast, featuring Greek, Roman, Egyptian, sub-Saharan African, Asian and American art and artifacts. We will have audio players to guide us through the collection.
We will meet at AIS after morning carpool (about 8:30 a.m.) outside the main entrance, drive to Emory for coffee at the museum's cafe, and then begin our tour at 10 a.m. Admission cost is $10 ($7 admission plus $3 for the audio guide).
For more information or to RSVP, contact Laurie Martin at woodrowway@yahoo.com.
And later this spring, we'll be visiting:
- Wednesday, April 5: Wren's Nest, home of writer Joel Chandler Harris
- Friday, May 19: Atlanta History Center
