Invitation to Regional Robotics Tournament
Dear AIS Community:
Last year's Regional & National Rookie All Star winners, your very own AIS iHOT Robotics team, is entering the Regionals again this year. Your support, good wishes and cheers will boost the team's morale. What better way to show your support than to come out to the tournament!
Come cheer on the AIS iHOT Robotics Team! The Regional Tournament is March 3 - 5, Thursday - Saturday, at the Gwinnett Civic Center (I-85 and Sugarloaf Parkway, details below.) ALL are welcome, admission and parking are free.
This year the robots will be stacking 9-lb tetras (3-dimensional triangles) on much bigger tetras. Teams will be assigned two allies for each match, so there will be six robots on the field. Thursday will be practice rounds until around 5, and the official matches will be Friday until 4:30 and Saturday until noon. The Final matches are scheduled for Saturday 1 - 3.
Support the team by purchasing T-shirts for $10, flashing buttons for $3 and regular buttons for $1.50. You can buy these Monday - Wednesday in afternoon carpool, and during the day near the LPAC entrance (clasroom P2). We're hoping to sell them in PS carpool, too. E-mail me if you'd like to purchase some but can't find a team member.
Directions: I-85 north to Sugarloaf Pkwy/Exit 108. Turn right off the exit, go around and back under I-85 and cross over Satellite Boulevard. The Gwinnett Center will be on your left.
