Architecture 101

Natasha Cooper, 5K, invited her father, Mr. Sandy Cooper, to speak to her classmates about architecture. Mr. Cooper, the architect of the new Sports & Activities Center, spoke to the students about the basic shapes architects use to design buildings all over the world: the circle, the square, and the triangle. Our well-traveled students recognized many of the famous buildings in Mr. Cooper’s presentation, from the Notre Dame Cathedral in France to the pyramids in Egypt. Mr. Cooper’s talk extended the children’s knowledge about buildings that make up communities in our world.
