Successful Open House Attributed to Parent Volunteer "Ambassadors"
Saturday, January 20, was the annual AIS Open House. We had an extraordinary turnout and our talented faculty, staff and administration played to a full house in the Auditorium. As impressive, however, was our gracious "ambassador" volunteer staff. Many thanks to those parents who were able to volunteer their valuable time giving tours and answering questions throughout the day. Our volunteer ambassadors undoubtedly impressed our guests and reinforced AIS’s reputation as a welcoming, diverse, and thriving educational institution!
It is that reputation which inspires your Parent Organization in its dedicated effort to be a valuable resource. We would like to build upon effective ways to integrate new families into our community, and the Buddy Program is a perfect illustration of this mission.
Your Parent Organization needs at least three willing parents to steer the Buddy Program in collaboration with the Admission Office. They will play an important role in the growth and development of this powerful program. The Buddy Program seeks to support the transition to a new school, community, and/or country by pairing all new students with a returning student buddy. This type of program is one of the highlights of Atlanta International School and should make us all proud to be a member of the AIS community.
