Chess Team Invites New Members
Three 11th Grade students and US Chess Federation (USCF) members participated in a USCF/ Georgia Chess Association event held during the MLK Birthday long weekend, an excellent debut by our AIS Upper School Tournament Chess Team!
Matthew Keeter, Andre Parreira and Cian Ofaolian didn't bring home any trophies this time, but the boys played very well and made an impressive showing in spite of some tough and experienced competition, coming in fifth their first time out. The next big tournament is on March 4 at Emory University and we are still looking for players and alternates.
