Passport to the Caribbean
We are diligently planning a festive event set for April 9, our 18th Annual Spring Benefit auction, dinner and dance. It will be a tropical gala that features dinner, dancing to a Caribbean beat, and a silent and live auction. The aim of this effort is support of our great school. The parents here make it possible to present an auction that features unique, one-of-a-kind items. Donating these special items, trips and events helps with the event’s goal.
We have some fantastic auction items already in place. Check out:
- Houses in far away places like Armenia and Italy
- Hotel trips in the Caribbean and in Europe
- Tickets to the hottest events in Georgia
- Some very special events arranged just for AIS supporters to purchase
With your help or connections we would like to offer:
- Live concert tickets
- Airfares / miles you may be able to donate
- Fine wines or cigars
- Lunch with a politician or celebrity
Please take a moment to think of ways you can help us and the school.
Here’s what one of our lucky bidders in 2003 had to say about an auction item which will be featured again in 2005:
“To go to the Kentucky Derby if you are an avid horseback rider is the ultimate dream, so when we discovered that friends of AIS had graciously donated four tickets to the Kentucky Derby, we had to bid on it in the Live Auction! What a thrill it was to be the highest bidder!
“We had three incredible days in Louisville that we planned with the help of the donors. The whole atmosphere of Churchill Downs, all the people dressed up, the beautiful hats (we each brought two for the different days), the gambling, the mint juleps, the horses racing right by you with incredible speed, and of course the 130th Kentucky Derby, have made a lasting memory for our family!
