AIS Fall Book Fair ’07 a Resounding Success

The AIS Library would like to thank everyone who participated, from the youngest shopper on up, for helping to make the AIS Fall Book Fair a great success this year! Sales were way up and our library benefits increased by about $1,000! The enthusiastic support of our AIS community has made it possible for the library to add many books and resources for the benefit of all our students.

We would particularly like to acknowledge the dedication of our fabulous co-chairs, Chloe Albright and Ruth Rieker, and their team of more than 60 parent volunteers who created our “winter wonderland” and managed the smoothest book fair ever.

This year, the AIS Book Fair also participated in Scholastic's charitable fundraiser, Change for Change. We are pleased to announce that through the generous contributions of our students and shoppers, we raised over $300. Because of this contribution, Scholastic will be donating over 300 books to three national non-profit organizations dedicated to helping kids and families in need: Kids in Distressed Situations, Inc., National Center for Family Literacy, and Toys for Tots.
